SFU ANNOUNCES THE 2024 HONORARY DEGREE RECIPIENTS

Through their research, writing, musical, cultural knowledge or business acumen, these 10 individuals are receiving honorary degrees during the 2024 spring and fall Convocation ceremonies. Known as trailblazers in their fields, they have made an impact in the world and we encourage you to learn more about each of them.

 

THRIVING IN ACADEMIA

Jonathan Moore, an SFU aquatic ecologist, was recently featured in the science journal Nature about what keeps him in academia. He is joined by ten other researchers from around the world who love the academic life.

 
 

RESOURCES + OPERATIONAL UPDATES

Explore Critical Understandings of Land & Water: Unsettling Place at SFU, a film series featuring oral teachings from respected Coast Salish Elders and Knowledge Holders.

BOARD OF GOVERNORS UPDATE

Are you interested in providing a faculty lens to our Board of Governors? SFU is seeking engaged and committed individuals to fill one faculty vacancy on the Board for a three-year term. Join faculty members Anke Kessler and Daniel Leznoff along with University Secretary Margarita Fullerton to learn about this role on SFU's strategic governing body at an information session on March 21.
