The Department of Mathematics at Simon Fraser University invites applications for a Lecturer position starting September 1, 2017. Duties include teaching, coordinating departmental workshops, curriculum development, course preparation, training and supervision of teaching assistants, and outreach activities. The Lecturer will be based on the Burnaby Campus, but may be assigned to teach courses at any SFU Campus (Burnaby, Surrey, Vancouver)

Applicants should have at least a master's degree in mathematics or applied mathematics, have their primary interest in teaching mathematics at the undergraduate level, and have demonstrated excellence in teaching. Ability to teach a broad range of courses including courses in applied and computational mathematics is a requirement. Applicants should be familiar with mathematical software, e.g., Maple and Matlab.
