Foundations of Computational Mathematics - Summer 2010

The next Foundations of Computational Mathematics conference will be held in Summer 2020 at the SFU Downtown campus. Taking place every three years, the FoCM conference is a major event for all mathematicians with interest in computation, and covers a wide variety of topics ranging from computational number theory to combinatorics to numerical PDEs. Along with colleagues from UW and UBC, the event will be organized by Professors Adcock, Chauve, Ilten, Mishna, and Nigam.

Jonathan Borwein Commemorative Conference

The University of Newcastle will be holding a conference to commemorate the life and work of Laureate Professor Jonathan Borwein, who passed away unexpectedly in 2016.

Highlights include a public lecture by Keith Devlin (Stanford University), talks by Terry Rockafellar and Bruce Berendt, and a fantastic Night of Magic.
