On October 15, Math Catchers visited Total Education in Vancouver, BC. James was welcomed into one grade 10 class, and one grade 11 class.

On December 1, Math Catcher returned to Total Education in Vancouver, BC! James was welcomed into three classes of grade 10s and 11s for a day of bead work with the students.

The bright students at Total Education explored many strange properties about Mobius strips and solved puzzles that even James had yet to solve.

Thanks to Charlene Chong for bringing Math Catcher to the alternative schools in Vancouver.

The Math Catcher workshop was an absolute hit with my students! James was a fantastic speaker and teacher. His warmth and enthusiasm made it easy for the kids to dive into the activities with excitement. One student shared, “It was fun. We were doing Math in a more creative way rather than in the traditional sense,” which perfectly captured the spirit of the day. Many students echoed, "It was really fun. We have to do this again." One student who usually struggles with Math was able to solve a challenging problem that James himself admitted was tough. When shared that James was coming back for another day of workshop, that same student was so excited he jumped up and down. Suffice to say, I cannot recommend James enough. For any teacher who wants to see engaged students partaking in Math in a meaningful way, reach out to James and this program! James, your endeavor to make Math come alive is remarkable.
