Since 2010 student-volunteers from SFU held  regular tutoring sessions in math and science for the NEC students.

On the photo below are three SFU student-volunteers: Momcilo Gavrilov from the Department of Physics, Darren Yitsma from the Department of Mathematics, and Fernando Villasenor from the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Sciences. 

The initiative is coordinated by Ms. Lillian Prince from the NEC and Mr. William Lindsay and Dr. Veselin Jungic from SFU
