Nanodrop ND-1000 Spectrophotometer
The NanoDrop ND-1000 spectrophotometer is is taken care of by the MBB Manager, Laboratory Operations. The ND-1000 has an associated computer so in order to use the spec, please contact the Manager (details below) to gain access via SFU ID and password.
The NanoDrop ND-1000 is a microvolume UV/vis spectrophotometer, with pedestal. Its small sample requirement and ease of use makes the instrument well suited for measuring concentration and purity of DNA, RNA, and protein samples.
Specifications include:
- 220 - 750 nm wavelength measurement range.
- 1 - 2 ul sample volume.
- No sample dilution required.
- Has measurement range from 2 - 3,700 ng/ul dsDNA, up to 2,400 ng/ul ssDNA, up to 3,000 ng/ul RNA, and 0.1 - 100 mg/ml protein (BSA).
- Has pre-configured methods for DNA, Protein A280, Protein and Labels, Pierce 660, Bradford, BCA, and Lowry.
