year. She worked as an advisor for the community on matters relating to the development of a constitution. This involved developing and presenting materials to the community, as well as drafting various governance and constitution options for discussion.
In addition to that, Karma worked at coordinating the details of an agreement previously negotiated between the Nation and a local business. This has involved negotiating the details of an employment agreement, consulting with various leaders in the related business community, and implementing economic development initiatives.
Brief Work Experience: Karma has worked in a variety of fields including working with young offenders, developing and implementing life skills programming, and treating youth with alcohol and drug addictions. Work Experience: Kamila’s interest in public policy began during her studies at the University of Copenhagen in 2004, as she pondered the integration of immigrant communities into Scandinavian society.  While completing her undergraduate degrees at the University of Calgary, Kamila assisted Professor Andrej Kreutz in the research and editing of Russia in the Middle East: Friend or Foe? (Praeger Security International, 2006).  Most recently, she has further nurtured this interest in the integration of diverse places and cultures as a Flight Attendant for WestJet Airlines.

At the community level, Bruce is currently an active member of the Richmond Hospital Auxiliary (2003) as well as a Richmond Hospice Association board member (2003).
Along with his graduate studies, Bruce is currently involved as a Graduate Learner with the PCHR (Partners in Community Health Research) Community Health Research Cluster. PCHR is structured to act like a powerful magnet that attracts exceptional mentors and learners from across Canada and internationally to generate solutions to immediate problems in the health sector. PCHR creates an environment where collaboration, stakeholder engagement and evidence-based decision making are seen as vital to the creation of ‘healthy public policy’.

Now in his second year of the MPP program, Bruce has begun to narrow his focus and is interested in how health policies created at the regional level are created (policy processes) and how these policies impact health care workers and patients at ground level (policy outcomes).
