A variety of multifunction devices (MFDs) are available to SFU departments. The choice of model should be based on the number of people using the machine, the capabilities needed, and the volume of work the machine will be doing.

Features and Options
All multifunction devices include:
- Printing from networked computers
- Scanning (black-and-white or colour depending on model)
- Photocopying
Extras like the Fax Module, stapling, hole punching, and other finishing features are available depending on the model of MFD installed. Some of the common options are listed on the Rates and Cost Tracking page; for other options, it will be necessary to contact Document Solutions.

BizHub 223 (B&W printing, colour scanning)
- Print speed: 22 ppm (b&w only)
- 60,000 pages maximum monthly volume
- 3,650 sheet capacity
- 70ppm colour scanner
The basic starter model, the BizHub 223 is suitable for workgroups, labs, and smaller office workloads.
BizHub 363 (B&W printing and scanning)
- Print speed: 36 ppm
- 150,000 pages maximum monthly volume
- 3,650 sheet capacity
- 70ppm b&w scanner
This model is suitable for a higher workload than the 223.
BizHub 423 (B&W printing, colour scanning)
- Print speed: 42 ppm
- 150,000 pages maximum monthly volume
- 3,650 sheet capacity
- 70ppm colour scanner
This model builds upon the 363 by adding a faster print engine and a colour scanner.
BizHub 501 (B&W printing and scanning)
- Print speed: 50 ppm
- 175,000 pages maximum monthly volume
- 5,650 sheet capacity
- 70ppm b&w scanner
The BizHub 501 is a higher-end copier suited for the heaviest workloads to help consolidate printing across a department. Departments wanting a higher speed device AND colour scanning should consider the BH423 - please contact SFU Document Solutions for details.

BizHub C220 (Colour printing and scanning)
- Print speed: 22 ppm (b&w and colour)

The C220 is a basic model colour MFD with functionality similar to the 223 but with added high-quality colour output.
BizHub C360 (Colour printing and scanning)
- Print speed: 36 ppm (b&w and colour)
- 100,000 pages maximum monthly volume
- 3,650 sheet capacity
- 70ppm colour scanner
The C360 has a high speed printer and has a generous maximum monthly volume, making it suitable for higher workloads than the C220.
BizHub C552 (Colour printing and scanning)
- Print speed: 55 ppm (b&w), 45ppm (colour)
- 200,000 pages maximum monthly volume
- 6,650 sheet capacity
- 78ppm colour scanner
The C552 is the top end MFD available for installation at SFU. It features a lightning-fast printer and scanner, and the highest monthly volume available. Suitable for the heaviest workloads.
Important: The C552 requires a 20-amp electrical service with a NEMA 5-20R plug. Be sure to establish that any prospective installation site can support this requirement.
