The device need to be unfrozen for the OSC data to be received. 

After dragging an .amxd file into Max to edit it directly, it automatically freezes the device. Then, when loaded in Live, the frozen states stops the text file from being updated. 

So, you have to edit the devices in Max 4 Live, unfreeze them, and then save the device and the session.
