Canada's Best Employers: The Top 100

Canada's Best Employers: The Top 100
Generous vacations, staff discounts, on-site daycare, tuition subsidies, flex hours, or even private rooms for napping are some of the extra benefits that companies are providing to attract workers. Every year the competition to be recognized as one of the top employers gets bigger and tougher, as the winners raise the bar on what Canadian workers can expect from their employers.
For the 13th year running, Toronto publisher Mediacorp reveals the result of the country’s most comprehensive independent study of workplace benefits. “Canada’s Top 100” was graded in the following key areas: physical workplace; work atmosphere; health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement.
Each year, “Canada’s Best Employers: The Top 100” competition has revealed latest workplace trends and how Canada’s best employers are making a difference for their employees. The competition has been used as a tool to show shifts in the job market. For example, “Stability” was mentioned as one of the keywords for the employers in the past reflecting the current economic and job market situations. A quote specifically from McLean’s indicated “Stability and continuity in workplace programs have become a defining characteristic of our best employers, with the flashy extras taking a back seat to traditional benefit programs that make a real difference in the lives of working Canadians”
Along with Accenture, University of Toronto, KPMG, Kraft Foods Canada and more, Simon Fraser University was honored one of the top 100 once again this year. Visit the Canada's Top 100 official website to check out the full list of the companies who fully embodied the creativity to provide better services to their employees!
