Facilitated by the Canadian Cancer Society, Camp Goodtimes, based at Loon Lake near Maple Ridge, seeks to provide a safe and fun summer camp experience for children and teens with cancer and their families. Participation in a Camp Goodtimes program is provided at no cost to the campers.

If the programs at Camp Goodtimes sound like something you’d like to support and participate in by giving your time as a volunteer, you’re in luck! Camp Goodtimes is currently seeking volunteers for their summer programming for a variety of positions including Lifeguards, Camp Nannies (who care for the children of the medical personnel on site), Arts & Crafts facilitators, and Skips (camp cousellors). For a full list of positions available and more information about each position, please visit the Camp Goodtimes Volunteer page.

Though applications for volunteer positions will be accepted until mid-March, Camp Goodtimes would prefer to receive them by March 7. Which means you’ll need to act quickly if you want to get involved!

For more information about volunteering for Camp Goodtimes or about their programs, please visit their website at www.campgoodtimes.org or e-mail gotcamp@bc.cancer.ca.s
