An Opportunity With Science World!

An Opportunity With Science World!
By: Lindsay Stroud
I remember in elementary school I used to love field trips to Science World. The ability to interact, play, and learn about the world around me and to have fun while doing so was always a memorable experience. Despite being in university now, I still find there is always something new there for both young and old to explore and learn, and you now have the opportunity to join in on the fun once more. Science World is accepting applications for its Spring 2014 volunteer intake. You can help out with exhibits including the Body Works Gallery and the Kidspace Gallery, as well as become part of the Eureka Youth Team. Science World allows volunteers to become part of one of Vancouver`s most well-known attractions and is widely recognized for its playful yet educational twist on demonstrating aspects of everyday life. You must be at least 16 years old and must be able to commit to a minimum of 100 hours of volunteer service. Science World asks for volunteers to commit to a 2 to 4 hour shift once per week. Finally, if Spring intake is not the right time for you, they also have a Fall volunteer intake. The deadline to apply is Sunday, March 30th 2014. For more information, please visit http://www.scienceworld.ca/volunteer or contact volunteerresources@scienceworld.ca.
