Journey to the Centres

I was somewhat apprehensive to join the team  at the adult day centres but my 8 month co-op placement working with seniors  turned out to be one of the most valuable experiences that I have ever had. I was able to get involved with Vancouver Coastal Health's SteadyFeet®, form  friendships with seniors, and even learn some Cantonese!

At Lynn Valley Orthopaedic and Sports Physiotherapy (LVOSP), we combine specialized knowledge and techniques from a variety of healing disciplines to help restore your body and maintain normal function. The health professionals at LVOSP include physiotherapists, registered massage therapists, and kinesiologists. Our physiotherapists also perform acupuncture. During your first visit, your physiotherapist will perform an assessment and diagnosis. After the assessment, treatment may include hands-on treatment, exercise programs and, if necessary, modalities and/or taping. Lynn Valley Orthopaedic and Sports Physiotherapy was founded to bring hands-on therapy and rehabilitative exercise programs closer together for the benefit of patients. To this end, our 4200 sq. ft. second-floor facility includes efficient, well-equipped examination/treatment rooms as well as a spacious gym. In this setting, patients receive the latest manual therapy and mechanical therapy techniques and treatments.
