. What kind of support will your family and friends provide while you are away?
What kind of support will your family and friends provide while you are away?
Question Intent
The employer may be trying to ensure that you have discussed going abroad with family and friends and have their support so that you will be less likely to back out later on because of hesitations on your family or friends' behalf.
Answer Tips
It is a good idea to mention any emotional and/or financial support that your family has indicated that they will provide. You may also want to bring up past experiences where family and friends supported you in some other capacity (e.g., a sporting event). It could be valuable to discuss ways that you will keep in touch with your family while away (email, phone, internet).
