Hot Digital Media Jobs

Hot Digital Media Jobs
By: Jeannie Chong
When my academic advisor asked me, "Are you interested in Digital Media?", a light bulb went on and inspired me to pursue my interest in Communication and Media.
I am quite thankful to have discovered my interest early in my university life. Right now, as a co-op student (multi-media role) with Career Services, this position offers me a great opportunity to apply my writing skills in creating blogs. I am also responsible for coordinating Facebook and Twitter posts for various events and workshops.
Digital Media is becoming a more popular and more exciting field and offers a wide variety of careers. The demand for innovative workers in this sector is growing rapidly with endless possibilities. If you have a creative mind as well as an interest in technologies or social media, then Digital Media may be a good fit for you. The field encompasses many different things, as the Cultural Human Resources Council suggests.
- If you are a big fan of videogames, is Game Design and Development your option?
- If you enjoy mobile technology, why not create mobile apps for smartphone companies?
- If you are a supporter of online education, what about putting some interactive elements in a virtual classroom?
- If you like 3-D animation or digital video production, then you may have to go for Digital Entertainment Enterprise.
- If you are using social media like a pro, have you ever thought about being a Social Media Relations Officer?
