Our Future, Our Voice: 2013 Youth Forum

Our Future, Our Voice: 2013 Youth Forum
By: Elizabeth Moffat
The future we want. What does it look like? What will it take?
On September 28th, 2013 SFU Public Square is inviting you to talk about the future of British Columbia.
The Our Future, Our Voice Youth Forum aims to bring young people from across Metro Vancouver together to discuss important provincial issues and make new connections. This forum is designed by youth, for youth, and aims to give participants the chance to contribute to meaningful conversations and help create a Citizen’s Agenda for BC’s Economic Future, while interacting with representatives from business, government, and civil society. While designed for youth between the ages of 16 and 25, anyone identifying as a youth is welcome.
Where: SFU Surrey, 5th floor
When: Saturday, September 28th. 10am – 4:30pm
Lunch will be provided and the event is free, but all participants are required to register in advance.
The forum is only one part of SFU Public Square’s second annual Community Summit: Charting BC’s Economic Future, taking place from September 28th – October 4th. The summit is an annual event that focuses on local or international issues of public concern. Its aim is to create a space for residents to come together to research, discuss, identify solutions and take action on emerging and relevant issues.
To learn more about other summit events visit the SFU Public Square website.
