In compliance with Article 6.14 in TCPS2 (2018), a report summarizing the research activities that had taken place that year is required for all approved human research ethics applications that are continuing. At SFU ORE, this report is known as the Annual Renewal Report.
Prior to the expiry date of your report (45 days, 30 days, and 15 days prior) you will be sent an automatic request by email from the system reminding you that your Annual Renewal Report is due. Submit the report through the link in the email. For reference, a copy of the Annual Renewal Form is available in Ethics Forms and Templates.
Annual Renewal Reports must be submitted for projects involving primary data collection and/or secondary data analysis. Failure to comply with this requirement can result in the suspension or termination of the approval of the research and a report of noncompliance may be made to applicable funding agencies.
