Federal Government Funding

Federal Government Contracts

The Canadian Government Electronic Tendering Service (GETS) is an on-line system that advertises government contracting opportunities to potential bidders. GETS is being operated by Mediagrif Interactive Technologies Inc. as MERX™ which provides the service to the federal government under contract.

To search for bid documents on-line, go to MERX. If you have questions about how to perform a search you may contact MERX customer support at 1-800-964-6379. Ordering bid documents from MERX requires the use of a personal credit card. Please contact ors@sfu.ca for further information concerning MERX order payment.

Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) Canada Contracts

Most human resources and social development research opportunities are posted on the federal contract tendering website, MERX. While this site works well for the bidding process, it has not been an effective mechanism for communicating HRSD research needs to academic and researcher communities. The Strategic Policy Research Directorate of Human Resources and Social Development Canada (HRSDC) now publishes Research Opportunities. This publication provides brief descriptions of available and planned research opportunities, as well as a link to the specific Request for Proposals on the MERX site. To be added to the distribution list of this publication, contact: jennifer.scribner@hrsdc-rhdcc.gc.ca
