Grading

NOTES:

Grading: Throughout the semester students will receive instruction in a variety of technical and management practices and skill sets, and will be evaluated with a series of quizzes and simulations related to the specific skills training. In addition, students will be assigned individual projects and/or group projects designed to enhance their mastery of a variety of skill sets. Students are also evaluated on the basis of their participation in the class ensemble and the successful completion and presentation of group, research, and individual projects. Specific grading outlines and syllabus will be provided in the first week of classes. Poor ensemble work will affect grading. Evening and weekend work will be required throughout the semester for individual production assignments. Attendance at all seminars, lectures and tutorials is MANDATORY. Lateness and absences will adversely affect your final grade.

Notes: CA 271 continues the training and procedures established in CA 171 adding hands-on specific training specifically in lighting and sound operation for performances. It is highly recommended that students avoid registering in evening classes that may conflict with production assignments. For Spring 2018, taught concurrently with CA 270
