Description

CALENDAR DESCRIPTION:

Designed for French immersion program students who wish to refine their oral and written language competence. Instruction in class and in lab. Students with credit for FREN 211 may not take this course for further credit.

COURSE DETAILS:

Ce cours est destiné aux étudiant.e.s du French Cohort Program. Il a pour objectifs de renforcer les acquis en langue, de développer une connaissance du français plus adaptée aux objectifs du programme et d’exercer un esprit critique face à une gamme de sujets sociaux, politiques et culturels. Une partie du cours sera dédiée à un exposé oral et à l’animation d’un débat en classe sur un sujet d’actualité. Le cours comporte aussi une partie à l’écrit dont le but est de donner aux étudiant.e.s les outils méthodologiques leur permettant de répondre aux exigences des autres cours en français (l’analyse de données, le résumé critique, etc.). Instruction en classe, au laboratoire et en ligne.
