Description

CALENDAR DESCRIPTION:

A series of exercises in which the student must demonstrate the ability to apply the various recording and mapping skills covered in the course. The graded exercises are done individually and in teams, both on-campus and in the field.

COURSE DETAILS:

This course will provide students with training in archaeological field methods, through classroom exercises and field simulations. The course will include instruction in the methods, equipment, and techniques employed in archaeological field research. Students will perform a series of exercises and assignments in which they learn and demonstrate various site survey, excavation, recording, and mapping skills.
