Description
CALENDAR DESCRIPTION:
This course covers the fundamentals of higher level network functionality such as remote procedure/object calls, name/address resolution, network file systems, network security and high speed connectivity/bridging/switching.
COURSE DETAILS:
This is an advanced undergraduate course in networking. Detailed discussion of various network protocols and architectures will be covered, especially the Internet protocol stack and the design of the Internet. The course involves multiple programming projects and measurement labs. It also includes reading articles about recent topics and trends in networking.
