SFU assistant professor Kathleen Cross can provide comment on the Vancouver school board's decision to call on the media to enforce stricter standards on handling stories about youth suicides. The move comes in the wake of coverage of the Amanda Todd case and an alleged suicide pact among a group of youths. Cross, of SFU's School of Communication, is also co-director of NewsWatch Canada.
