SFU’s Centre for Scottish Studies is hosting a special Tartan Day celebration Wednesday evening to launch their Scottish Voices from the West oral history project. Tartan Day is an annual Scottish Celebration, observing Scottish independence at the signing of the Declaration of Arbroath in 1320.

The launch and celebration, scheduled from 7:30-10:30 p.m. at SFU Vancouver’s Harbour Centre (room 1420), will feature songs from the Gaelic Choir, dancing from the Vancouver Royal Scottish Country Dance demonstration team, and a presentation on the new Museum of Scotland.
