Public dialogue explores First Nation education

“Not sufficiently strong” was the descriptor used to explain the state of on-reserve First Nation education across Canada by the Department of Aboriginal Affairs/Assembly of First Nations panel. John Richards, a professor with SFU’s School of Public Policy, will elaborate on this descriptor and further discuss Aboriginal education needs and challenges in British Columbia and Canada at a BCPPI dialogue tonight at Harbour Centre. “I’m not interested in talking about the problem – it’s clear the education levels are too low,” Richards explains. “I’m interested in pragmatically what we can do to solve this.”
