New study suggests carbon tax is working

new study suggests the B.C. carbon tax appears to be working after five years. However, SFU environmental economistMark Jaccard says it will take many more years to get a firmer sense of the tax’s full effect. “Other compulsory policies, like cap-and-trade or regulations on technologies and fuels, can reduce emissions just as effectively as a carbon tax, although it is not as cost-effective as a carbon tax.”
