B.C. Carbon Tax

New study suggests carbon tax is working
A new study suggests the B.C. carbon tax appears to be working after five years. However, SFU environmental economistMark Jaccard says it will take many more years to get a firmer sense of the tax’s full effect. “Other compulsory policies, like cap-and-trade or regulations on technologies and fuels, can reduce emissions just as effectively as a carbon tax, although it is not as cost-effective as a carbon tax.”
