Election results will unlikely change

Elections B.C. is expected to release Wednesday the final ballot results from the B.C. provincial election. Although the Coquitlam-Maillardville riding swung to the NDP, SFU public policy professor Doug McArthur still does not anticipate any changes to the election results. “We need to wait for the final results to be sure,” he says. “Right now the NDP is ahead by five votes in Coquitlam-Maillardville. I am still not sure that it will be an NDP win, but if these numbers are the final results, there will be a recount and possibly a byelection.”
