Deadly police shooting in Toronto

Simon Fraser University criminologist Rick Parent can speak to the issue of police accountability and ethics in the wake of the high-profile case of a Toronto teenager who was shot to death. Parent, a 30-year veteran of the Delta Police Department, examined the issue of police use of deadly force while serving as a police officer and has been called on by the courts as an expert in police shootings. He is currently an assistant prof in SFU’s School of Criminology’s Police Studies program.
