Award-winning journalist receives honorary degree

Retired Vancouver Sun securities columnist David Baines, who devoted 25 years and 3,887 columns to exposing illegal and unethical investment deals, is receiving an honorary degree from Simon Fraser University today.

Baines has won four National Newspaper Awards plus the Bruce Hutchison Lifetime Achievement Award from the Jack Webster Foundation.

Please note there is road construction on Burnaby Mountain that may cause delays. It is recommended that media coming to campus should factor in an additional 20-30 minutes in their commute.
