Honouring four outstanding alumni Feb. 26

Simon Fraser University will honour four distinguished individuals at the Outstanding Alumni Awards’ 30th anniversary event on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Vancouver.
The annual awards were first introduced in 1983 and have become one of SFU’s most celebrated traditions. Those being recognized include:
- Krista Guloien, BA ’04 (Criminology)—Athletic Achievement (Vancouver), Olympic Medalist, Women’s rowing;
- Tim Martin, MA ’84 (Geography)—Public Service (Bogota, Colombia) Canadian Ambassador to Republic of Colombia;
- Howard Sapers, BA ’80 (Criminology)—Public Service (Ottawa) Correctional Investigator, Federal Office of the Correctional Investigator;
- Lance Uggla, BBA ’85—Professional Achievement (London, England)
