Media Advisory: Faculty of Science observatory announcement

An announcement will be made at Simon Fraser University’s Burnaby campus on Thursday, Jan. 9 at 10 a.m. related to a new astronomical observatory for the University. Prior to the announcement (9:45 a.m.), students from nearby University Highlands Elementary School will join SFU officials in hands-on science activities in the Shrum Science Centre’s Chemistry Wing (C9051), where the announcement will take place.

Among those attending will be SFU President Andrew Petter, Dean of Science Claire Cupples, the donor and SFU physics faculty members, who are available for interviews.
