Simon Fraser University is holding its spring convocation ceremonies this week, June 10-13, on Burnaby Mountain. More than 5,200 students are eligible to participate.

Four people will receive honorary degrees from SFU, including former Canadian prime minister Kim Campbell, award-winning Vancouver Sun journalist, David Baines, experimental psychologist Steven Pinker, and graphic designer John Maeda.

SFU will also install its next chancellor, Anne Giardini, on Friday at 2:30 p.m.

Please note there is road construction on Burnaby Mountain that may cause delays. It is recommended that media coming to campus should factor in an additional 20-30 minutes in their commute.

Media can park in E Lot on the east side of campus, near the transit loop and adjacent to Strand Hall. Please call the SFU PAMR office at 778.782.3210 with your vehicle’s plate number once you’ve arrived.
