Teaching

I teach as a Sessional Lecturer, one course in the undergraduate Geography major--Political Geography--as well as a handful of courses in a range of special topics as faculty in the Continuing Studies program based at the University's Harbour Centre campus.Beyond this, I have served as a teaching assistant for eight courses across the undergraduate program in Geography, from gender to resource development. I bring to my teaching and my TA work a promise to be accessible, friendly, student-centred, and engaging.

Territory, Power, State

GEOG 381

Surveys the manner in which power relations are expressed territorially. Attention given to such topics as state sovereignty, colonialism, rights, and law. Students with credit for GEOG 381W may not take this course for further credit. Prerequisite: At least 45 units.
