Friday, September 1, 2000 saw the final
trolley runs of the 41 line in Vancouver.
Under overcast and showery skies, run 26 operated by coach 2716
pulled into the Oakridge Transit Centre at 09:55am with fans Angus
McIntyre, Kevin Nash, John Wollenzin (who operated the second-last
41 trolley run) and Derek Cheung aboard.
The three trolley runs were operated by:
run 25, 07:23-08:50, coach 2921 (still in red, white and blue
paint scheme)
run 24, 06:07-09:53, coach 2838 (in the intermediate all-white
paint scheme)
run 26, 07:10-10:06, coach 2716 (in the TransLink blue and yellow
"Sweep" scheme)
Pictures will be forwarded to Richard DeArmond ASAP for posting
on his electric trolley bus web site.
The driver of 2716 was just two weeks on the job, and was quite
overwhelmed to see us all riding his bus!
