On Wednesday August 22nd SFU Physics is hosting a Professional Development Workshop for High School Science Teachers based on our popular Girls Exploring Physics workshops. This workshop is designed to help teachers understand the under-representation of women in physics & engineering and help them encourage girls in their physics and general science classes. It will include hands-on activities in physics from the popular Girls Exploring Physics workshops. Secondary science teachers from all grade levels and anyone doing outreach with girls in physics or engineering are invited to attend.

New this year: We have resdesigned the workshop for 2018 and will be including materials developed by the APS/AAPT STEP UP 4 Women program and the Institute of Physics in the UK.
