First-year Physics Streams
Physics is interested in understanding how all aspects off the universe work. We offer four different streams of first-year physics to cater to the interests of our students. All streams cover mechanics, electricity and magnetism. The Standard and Enriched streams include a selection of topics from modern physics, while the Life Sciences stream includes thermal physics, fluids and optics. Students should complete the stream required by their program of study. Physics programs allow any of these streams to be completed, but does require a minimum B grade in the life-sciences stream courses.
Designed for students who excel in mathematics and physics and who are comfortable with the material presented in both Physics 12 and Mathematics 12. Recommended for students intending to major in physics, applied mathematics, or applied sciences.
