The Political Science NATO Summer Field School offers applied learning and directed practice in the areas of national security and defence as well as international cooperation and diplomacy.

This Field School will be ran annually and introduces students to civilian and military practitioners, how an international organization, such as NATO, manages internal and external complexity in its attempt to translate national interests and principles into policy and common policy into operations.

The professor and students will go on several day-trip excursions in BC, Brussels, Rome and Naples. The classroom learning, professional briefings and demonstrations culminate in a week of NATO crisis-management simulation at the NATO Defense College in Rome supported by background documents, video-based scenarios, and continuous feedback from NATO mentors.
