After studying at the University of Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne (France), the University of Birmingham (U.K.), and Laval University, Quebec, Professor Kina Chenard came to Simon Fraser University where she will devote most of her teaching time to the new B.A. program in Public Administration and Community Services offered by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, with a Major in Political Science and an extended Minor in French.

 

Professor Chenard has three different research and teaching interests: 1) Public policy and public administration (governance of the public sector, public policy analysis, public finances, health policy); 2) Political economics (economic models of politics; and 3) Econometrics and quantitative methods. Her published work include the Romanow paper The Conditions for a Sustainable Public Health System in Canada (2004), with Marc Quintyn and Udaibir Das (IMF's chiefs of the Financial Stability Division) published by the International Monetary Fund.

 

Professor Chenard teaches in French and in English.
