Our graduate students are a source of great pride for the department. They have an excellent track record with SSHRC and other prestigious awards and fellowships. Ph.D. and even M.A. students present their research work at professional meetings and conferences, and frequently publish their work in professional peer-reviewed outlets.
Our Ph.D. programme fosters an environment in which students can begin their academic careers while in graduate school. While some Ph.D. students have co-authored publications with faculty members, others have published on their own, laying the foundation for a successful academic career. Our M.A. programme provides a similar environment for those interested in continuing on to the Ph.D. In conjunction with the co-op program, it also prepares students for successful professional careers in such areas as politics and government, national and international non-governmental organizations, and public administration and policy.
Please see Graduate Student Accomplishments for a sample of the recent fellowships, awards, conferences and publications of our graduate students.
Please see Theses and Projects for a list of our students who have graduated over the past three years, their dissertation, thesis or project topic, and their examining committee.
Congratulations to our Political Science Graduate Students who recently DEFended:
