Training and certification are required to become a Connect© group leader. Training is achieved through participation in training workshops and seminars followed by supervision of performance to specified standards of competence. This process is designed to provide leaders with high-quality training in the theoretical background and practical application of the Connect© program. Leaders in training receive detailed feedback on their clinical skills, strengths, and areas that require further development. Adaptations to this training model are in preparation to allow individuals in distant locations to participate. The training, supervision, and certification of leaders ensure program integrity and maintain high quality program delivery. Once certified, leaders may pursue further training to become supervisors and trainers of other Connect© group leaders.
