I grew up in Toronto, Ontario, and completed my bachelors degree at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario in 2006. In my spare time, I enjoy playing sports (volleyball, golf, squash, and running), watching funny movies, reading, and most importantly spending time with my my family and friends. My favourite place to be is at my family's cottage in Ontario.

My long-term goals, are to carry out research that will provide information, which will lead to the enhancement of services for children and adolescents, who have been exposed to maltreatment and/or experienced violence in thier lives. I am interested in research that informs policy and direct health service delivery for children, adolescents and thier families. Currently, my Master's thesis explores the factors associated with mental health service utilization in a population of high-risk adolescents in British Columbia.
