Lindsay Deane (ldeane@sfu.ca)
I am currently a fourth-year psychology student with a minor in
counseling. My first undergrad was completed at the University of Ottawa
in Criminology and this is where I found my interests/passion for the
impact of social factors on individuals. I am interested in researching
how we have come to conceptualize mental health, the qualitative
experiences of individuals seeking help in different mental health
contexts, and the role of inflammation and diet in depressive-like
symptoms. |

Kari Gunton (kgunton@sfu.ca)
I am a fourth year psychology major from Victoria, British Columbia. While I am interested in numerous topics in psychology, I am particularly interested in environmental psychology, as it combines two of my passions: social psychology and the environment. While my main interest is on the use of psychology to help the natural environment, I am also interested in the positive effects the environment has on an individual's overall health and well-being. After gaining enough research experience, I would like to one day conduct research on the factors that influence individuals in engaging in pro-environmental behaviour. |
