Welcome to the lab page of
Dr. Dan Weeks at Simon Fraser University. We are a
psychomotor behaviour lab studying the mental processes
involved in the interplay between perception and action
in the execution of goal-directed behaviour.
The lab utilizes research
facilities in the Department of Psychology at Simon
Fraser University and the Down Syndrome Research
Foundation in Burnaby, British Columbia.
In addition to our
studies of the relation between brain and behaviour, we
are involved in the study of developmental disabilities
including Down Syndrome and Autism.
Our aim is to optimize
developmental trajectories in these individuals, to
develop measures to assess strengths and weaknesses in
information processing, and to see how performance
on those measures changes through cognitive
interventions.
