Graduate Students

The Circadian Rhythms Laboratory at Simon Fraser University will consider applications from prospective graduate students interested in training in the area of circadian rhythms and sleep research. Graduate students are admitted through the experimental or clinical psychology programs, and become part of the Cognitive and Biological Psychology research area. Post Doctoral Postition

A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Ralph Mistlberger at the Department of Psychology, Simon Fraser University (Vancouver, Canada). The NSERC and CIHR-funded projects will focus on basic mechanisms of circadian time keeping in mammals. Individuals trained in some or all of the following techniques/approaches are encouraged to apply: circadian and/or sleep science, experience handling rodents, basic surgical skills, immunohistology on rodent tissues, EEG recording. Ideally, the successful candidate will have a Ph.D. degree in neuroscience or biological psychology. The candidate must have demonstrated the ability to work independently, present at national meetings and publish in international journals. Motivation, initiative and creativity are highly desirable.
