Graduate Program in Social Psychology

Graduate students are admitted to a 5-year Ph.D. program in social psychology aimed at preparing for an academic career.  Course requirements are divided into separate M.A. and Ph.D. components.  General information is available in the Graduate Program Booklet and the Graduate Student Handbook.

M.A. Course Requirements:
*Psychology 760-I (Seminar in social cognition).
*Psychology 760-II (Seminar in interpersonal relations).
*Psychology 824 ( Research Methods and Issues).
*Psychology 910 (Research Design I)
*Psychology 911 (Research Design II)
*Psychology 917 (Biweekly social area seminar, to be attended for duration of graduate studies).
*2 Breadth Courses (Any course with content outside of social psychology).

Ph.D. Course Requirements:
*Psychology 715 (I and II: Measurement).
*Psychology 819 (Ethics and Professional Issues).
*Psychology 917 (Same as above).
*2 of Psychology 960 (Special topics in social psychology).
*3 of Psychology 999 (Independent comprehensive project).
