Professor Ronald Roesch receives 2022 Don Andrews Career Contribution Award

Professor Ron Roesch has been selected to receive the 2022 Don Andrews Career Contribution Award from the Criminal Justice Psychology Section of the Canadian Psychological Association.

This award recognizes a corpus of work accrued over a period of at least ten years that makes a significant contribution to our theoretical understanding and/or practices in criminal justice psychology and/or law.

As a professor in the Department of Psychology, he is also the director of the Mental Health, Law, and Policy Institute at Simon Fraser University. He received his PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Illinois in 1977. He is a past-president of the American Psychology-Law Society and the International Association of Forensic Mental HealthHis research focuses on mental health assessment in the criminal justice system.
