Introduction.
Idrisi GIS is a powerful raster-based GIS system produced
by Clark Labs, an off-shoot
of Clark University. The current version of Idrisi is Kilimanjaro
14, available only for Windows-based systems.

Site License.
Overview & Authorized Uses
The Simon Fraser University licensing agreement covers
the Burnaby campus for Clark Labs Idrisi & CartaLinx products.
This licensing program is only available to departments - not to
individuals.
The software must be installed on University owned computers only.
Home use is forbidden and departments must buy separate licenses
for
portable
computers.
Site License Expiration
The Site License agreement is renewed on an annual
basis.

Off-campus Use
Off-campus use of the site-licensed is prohibited.
However, students may purchase a Student
Starter License (fully
functional, but expires after one year) for a reduced price ($39
US) directly from Clark Labs.

documentation can be downloaded in PDF format from this site.
At Simon Fraser University Library.
A copy of documentation for all the Idrisi products will be
available in the library. To consult the guides and other documentation
please visit the Research Data Library and Maps office on the seventh
floor of the
library, Room 7002.

License Server.
To license Idrisi Kilimanjaro you must specify a license
server address in order to get the software working. Use the library
license server: lib-lm.lib.sfu.ca. The easiest way of doing this is
by setting the following system environmental variable and then
restarting your computer:
NAME : LSHOST
VALUE: mall.lib.sfu.ca
