David Baillie

Research chair winner mentors next generation of geneticists

Academic peers applaud geneticist David Baillie for his unparalleled success in motivating and training young scientists. With his recent appointment to a $200,000 per annum Canada Research Chair (one of eight chairs valued at more than $9 million so far at SFU), Baillie will now be able to share his teaching duties with a promising junior scientist, while continuing to research how genes function and cause diseases in humans.
