Teaching

on-line learning

The $1.6-million Portals for On-Line Objects for Learning (POOL) project created an invaluable resource for organizations producing on-line educational content.

SFU Surrey researchers collaborated with educational, private and public sector groups to help eLearning content developers find and share "learning objects" — definable, reusable chunks of digital content and processing elements used for teaching and instruction. The result: a nation-wide management, storage and retrieval system of learning objects for organizations involved in on-line delivery of advanced education and workplace training.
