Chancellor's Gymnasium and Whitecaps Training Centre
SFU's sports scene will be dramatically enhanced with the construction of the Vancouver Whitecaps football club’s $3-million national training centre and the $11-million upgrade to the Chancellor’s gymnasium on Burnaby Mountain.

The pro soccer club’s new centre, including two lit turf fields and a field house, will double as a community facility. The Canadian Soccer Association men’s, women’s, and youth national teams will also train there.

When completed in 2005, the new gym will be substantially larger, and will include additional studio space for activities such as karate, yoga and dance.
